Cree Indian Proverb

While browsing Green Grandma's site this evening, I came across this beautiful quote that reminded me of all the reasons I strive to be green, without ever mentioning the words "global warming" or "climate change".

Only when the last tree has died
and the last river been poisoned
and the last fish been caught
will we realize we cannot eat money.
