Liebster Award

I received an exciting message on Jan 1st from Coco at homeschoolapalooza stating that she had nominated me for a Liebster award! Wow!  Thank you so much Coco! 

 

The Liebster Award is an award that is by bloggers, for bloggers. It’s passed from person to person to encourage connection and support within our writing community, and to aid in the discovery of new and upcoming bloggers.
 

According to Coco's nomination, the specific rules are:

1. Acknowledge and thank the blog who nominated you.

2. Look for an award image that you like, and post it on your blog.

3. Answer the 11 questions asked by the person/blog who nominated you.

4. List 11 random facts about yourself.

5. Nominate 11 blogs with under 1,000 followers to receive the award.

6. Let the bloggers know that you nominated them.

7. Give them 11 questions to answer.

1. If you were writing a book about your life what would it be named? Messes, Messes Everywhere
2. How long have you been blogging? I have been blogging for almost 2 1/2 years.

3. Are you good at Ping Pong? I honestly haven't played since I was in high school so chances are that I am terrible.

4. What color is your hair? I am a natural blonde.

5. Do you like French food? Yes.

6. What’s your favorite animal? I cannot choose one. I am very fond of dogs and cats but my chickens are also pretty darn fantastic.

7. If your house was on fire what 2 things would you grab? (Other than pets and family members) Car keys so that we could sit in the warm car while the firefighters did their thing (if it was cold out) and the charm bracelet that has charms from most of the places I have been.

8. What’s the most exotic place you’ve been? Costa Rica to visit a close friend.

9. What’s your favorite color? Blue or purple depending on the shade.

10. What’s the hardest thing you have ever had to do? Learning to let go of anger towards someone close.

11. What's your favorite post? It is impossible to choose just one.

Here are my 11 random facts:

1. I don't like to eat cooked fruit. If it is all pureed, that is fine (i.e. banana bread) but chunks, no thank you.

2. I want to learn French but am terrified of being horrible at it. Flirting in French may have changed my mind.

3. I often start my day with chocolate.

4. I have cadaver tissue in one of my joints.

5. I never, ever thought I would own a dog but now I feel guilty having so much land and not having more dogs. 

6. After having a baby, I love my body, flaws and all.

7. My favorite college class was differential equations.

8. I wish I had more quality friends.

9. I love real letters, the kind on paper and handwritten.

10. I love to be surrounded by books. Just walking into a book store calms me.

11. I would love to live overseas.
